SEO scams.
Before we offer our services, we want to point out that with search engine optimization (SEO) there are never any promises. Always be cautious of companies claiming to guarantee rankings - although some are legit, many of them engage in fraud. There are many tricks out there that will get your rankings up in a short amount of time, but trickery will also return some devastating results. Google, for instance, stays true to its motto of "Don't be evil" - and will ban sites from its listings indefinitely if it suspects the use of unethical SEO tactics. And Google did not make its billions through ignorance - they are aware of all the tricks people use and will most likely catch any offender. Always be wary of any offer that sounds too good to be true - it probably is.
Another common scam involves claims of "submitting your site to thousands of search engines" - or something to that effect. Truth is that without paying, there are only a few search engines worth submitting to: Google, Yahoo, Ask, Microsoft Live Search, and the Open Directory Project. Most other search engines feed off of these, so if you are indexed there then you will appear in most other engines as well. Also, submitting to these search engines is valuable for brand new sites only - to let them know that you now exist and that you want them to crawl your Website. This submission is an invitation only, and will have no impact on your ranking - that is determined by a number of other factors including the frequency of keywords and links from other related (and legitimate) Websites.
